BULLETIN BOARD

Unfortunately, due to an increasing number of late payments by clients, I can no longer offer to complete work on a credit basis.  From 1st October 2010, I will be changing my trading arrangements to require full payment for
each thin-section contract before the finished slides can be dispatched. Please take this into consideration before accepting a quotation. I will send a short report on progress and an invoice for payment prior to completion.

'Hidden Worlds - Off the Bench', is a Facebook interactive discussion page for all Geoarchaeologists interested in the production of thin-sections. Every couple of months, I will feature a new researcher and exhibit the slides I've made for them
in a photo album. Together, we will talk about their fieldwork and the preparation methodologies used to produce their slides. So, there should be plenty to talk about in the 'virtual lab'. Please drop in - and you don't have to wear a labcoat.

I now am in touch with a fellow thin-sectioner,
Cédric Demeurie, who has his own freelance thin-section laboratory in France. He is able to make 'hard rock' thin-sections at a reasonable cost with a quick return. He is also able to offer other petrographic and sectioning services. Please visit his website for all your Earth Science needs.
